Description of Service

DetaBIM is a membership site for accessing and downloading construction detail drawings and BIM models.

Use of detabim.com, including all materials presented and all online services, is subject to the following Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions apply to all site visitors, customers, and other users of the site.

By using this site, you agree to these Terms and Conditions without modification and acknowledge reading them.

DetaBIM reserves the right to substitute services equal to or comparable to the services listed if the need arises, without prior notice.

Copyright

​

The entire contents of the service are protected by international copyright and other proprietary rights.

You may not reproduce, republish, upload, post, transmit, or distribute the material of the service, including graphics, models, files, and text.

The content is for personal and commercial use by architects, designers, and construction professionals for adapting for use in their own projects. The content of the service is not for use by manufacturers; the drawings may not be used or adjusted to create sales, marketing, or technical materials for any construction products.

The content and materials may not be used by educational establishments of any form, both in person or online, to provide training, tutoring, learning materials through text, graphics, drawings, or video.

Use of BIM models and details

All the images and files contained within, unless otherwise stated, are copyrighted and may not be reproduced without our permission.

The details are not to be used by manufacturers to demonstrate the use of their own products or for use in other literature, marketing documents, and associated materials. Manufacturers interested in altering our details for their own use must contact us directly.

Detail drawings (in all formats) sold on our website are copyrighted. They are for personal and commercial use in construction projects. They may not be published on any website, resold, repurposed, or distributed beyond the uses outlined here.

We offer no assurance or guarantee of Building Regulations approval or compliance through the use of these drawings. These details should not be considered as industry standard, and professional advice must be sought when preparing construction drawings.

While every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information provided, we make no guarantee in respect to errors or omissions.

The details must be regarded as a starting point for developing your own detail relevant to your specific project and needs.

We assume no legal liability or responsibility for loss or damage resulting from the use of information contained on our website.

We reserve the right to update or change information on the site at any time without prior notice.

Architectural drawings should be prepared by a qualified and experienced person who holds the appropriate insurances. All drawings should be checked and approved by the appropriate approved inspectors.

Software Requirements

​

All core Revit drawings are in version 2022.

​

Due to the nature of Revit being a subscription service, it is likely new Revit details published to the library will be in more recent versions of Revit. We will always try our best to keep to an older version to ensure our members are able to open the files.

Membership and Accounts

​

Membership payment is for a subscription period and will be automatically renewed to ensure uninterrupted access to your membership benefits. Prior to your renewal date, you will receive an email notification from us. Please ensure that we have your current email address, and regularly check your inbox, including your Spam/Junk folders, to avoid missing important communications. You can add our email address (hello@DetaBIM.com) to your contacts to prevent our emails from being filtered.

Upon placing your order, we will send you an email confirmation containing details about product delivery and ongoing payments. If you notice any errors in this email confirmation, please notify us promptly.

Members are responsible for backing up any content downloaded from DetaBIM. Access to the content will be revoked once the membership expires.

Annual Memberships

​

DetaBIM membership grants access to all Revit files. The majority of core files are in Revit 2022 format.

Please ensure that you have the necessary software to open these files.

While we strive to provide details in 3D format whenever possible, there may be instances where this is not available. We make every effort to minimize such occurrences.

Pricing, Membership Fees, and Recurring Billing:

​

Prices displayed do not include VAT. VAT will be applied at checkout based on the customer's location.

Our prices are subject to change. Members will receive advance notification of any price adjustments and will have the option to cancel their subscription before the change takes effect if desired.

Membership fees will be charged at the start of each billing cycle, whether monthly or annually, depending on the chosen membership plan. Your payment method will be automatically billed each month/year (depending on your subscription) unless you choose to cancel your subscription.

Returns and Refunds:

​

We provide a 14-day money-back guarantee if you are dissatisfied with our service within the first 14 days of your membership.

​

Annual members are eligible for a refund if they have downloaded fewer than 5 details and have a valid reason for the refund. Contact support at hello@detabim.com to request a refund.

Detail packs are counted by the number of details within a pack, so downloading a detail pack renders you ineligible for a refund.

​

Your membership is automatically renewed annually. You can cancel at any time. If you cancel before your renewal date, no refunds will be issued for fees already paid, but you will retain access to the site until the end of your current billing period.

​

Upon canceling your subscription, we will retain your registration information in case you wish to re-register. We can delete your account information upon request, retaining minimal details for legal purposes, including payment transactions for tax purposes.

​

To cancel your membership, log in to your account and go to ‘Subscriptions’ to cancel your current subscription. This action will halt automatic renewal, and you will maintain access to content until the end of the billing period.

​

Please ensure you cancel your account promptly if you no longer require our service and wish to cease further billing.

​

Refusal of Service:

​

We offer our services subject to our acceptance of your orders or requests. We reserve the right to decline service to any order, person, or entity, without the obligation to provide a reason for doing so. Your order is not considered accepted until payment has been processed. We retain the right to modify or discontinue any aspect or feature of the Site or Service, while fulfilling our previous responsibilities to you based on the acceptance of your payment.

We reserve the right to deactivate accounts held by individuals representing companies that offer a similar or directly competing service.

Limitation of Liability:

We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any special, punitive, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages, including loss of use, data, or profits, regardless of whether we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. This applies to any theory of liability, arising out of or in connection with the use of the service or any website referenced or linked to from the service.

We are not liable for any third-party goods and services offered through the service or for assistance in conducting commercial transactions with other users of the site.

The service may contain technical or other mistakes, inaccuracies, or typographical errors. We may make changes to the service and any of its content or features, including prices and access rules, at any time without notice. The content included on the service may be outdated, and we make no commitment to update such content.

Your use of the service, including the downloading or acquisition of any materials through it, is done at your own discretion and risk. You agree that you will be solely responsible for any damage or loss of data resulting from such activities.

Some jurisdictions may prohibit the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

Indemnification:

Upon our request, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from all liabilities, claims, and expenses, including solicitor fees, arising from your violation of these Terms of Service or any other Governing Documents, or from other negligent or wrongful conduct. We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, in which case you will cooperate with us in asserting any available defenses.

Intellectual Property Rights to Your Materials:

We make no claim to intellectual property rights over the material you supply to Detail Library. You retain copyright and any other rights you may rightfully hold in any content submitted through the Site or Service. Content you submit remains yours, and you agree to hold Detail Library (and Archiwork Ltd) harmless from any claims arising from potential or actual copyright or trademark misappropriation or infringement. By posting material on the Site, you grant us a worldwide, nonexclusive, irrevocable license to use the material for promotional, business development, and marketing purposes.

Changed Terms:

We may amend these Terms and Conditions at any time, effective immediately upon notice by posting the new terms on this Site. Your continued use of the Site or Service after being notified constitutes acceptance of these amendments. We reserve the right to update any portion of our Site and Service, including these Terms and Conditions, at any time. The most recent versions will be posted on the Site, with effective dates listed on the respective pages.
